Greenland. A place where even the wildlife makes you feel very small!

Hands down my favourite part of paddling in cold rich waters is the giants that feed there. Feasting on Krill, it’s ironic that these giants eat one of the the smallest creatures in our ocean.

The more time I spend with them the more I fall in love with these gentle giants. I could sit and watch them for hours diving and surfacing around my kayak.

Expeditions aren’t just about under taking a journey. They can be about creating moments of pure clarity. Where nature makes you awe struck. Where chatter between team mates feels so natural, and being utters self sufficient makes total sense.

Sharing a little Lofoten love today. Kayaking has got to be one of the best ways to see these islands, and it feels like you are exploring where no one else goes. Empty beaches, remote camps and the coastline all to yourself.

A question we always get asked, and I’m proud to say real food! Camp cooking is one of the pleasures of camp life. Warm hearty and healthy food is exactly what you need after a long day on the water.

Mirrror calm waters reflect the towering mountains. A pretty special day in East Greenland.

Ice! One of the most incredible experiences as a paddler is weaving your way through an ice field. Big, small, crackling, crumbling, rolling, glistening ice. For some it’s magnetic, drawing you closer with it’s peaceful beauty. For others they can’t give it a wide enough berth. It’s unpredictable, yet so serene. But when it moves it can be explosive and powerful.

This time of year I’m normally packing all my warm kit and head south, as far south as you can go. These are a few snaps from last winter in Antartica. But this year I’m excited for a very different kind of winter. I won’t be getting seasick this season, I’ll be donning my skis instead and heading to the alps.

Yep, that’s right. After our social media got hacked and shutdown. We weren’t given much choice but to start from scratch. So here it is, our new channel. Starting from scratch isn’t all that bad.
